America coach Ricardo La Volpe has club's backing - Ricardo Pelaez

"I am very happy with him, we have an open channel of communication. He works well with the players and they work well with him. The management team works well with him.

"He does everything well within this football team plus he has given us results already. The club are in the Liga MX final and we are excited to compete in the Club World Cup. So he will be staying on at least until June."

With America, La Volpe has amassed a 14-match streak of seven wins and seven draws in both Liga MX and Cup play since taking over the club from Ignacio Ambriz on Sept. 22. America
