AC Milan targeting Riccardo Orsolini from Ascoli, says Adriano Galliani

AC Milan have their sights set on Ascoli midfielder Riccardo Orsolini, but CEO Adriano Galliani says the club won't be spending a lot of money in January.

Orsolini, 19, has been linked to Juventus and Watford in the Premier League after some fine play in Serie B, and Galliani confirmed Milan's interest.

"Orsolini we like," Galliani said. "He is a good player, a left-footer who plays on the right and he could be a good alternative to Suso.

"He still has a long way to go, but the Berlusconi-Galliani agreement is to focus on young Italian players."

But Galliani also said not to expect any major signings in the winter transfer window while Sino-Europe's takeover is still in progress.

"I can definitely exclude big signings as Milan's transfer campaign is very complex, he said.

"Everything is difficult. I can make a deal, conclude it, but then we need the approval of the other party.

"The market moves quickly, never mind having a complete deal and having to ask permission from others.

"To have a neutral transfer campaign we will have to sell before we buy. So I don't know what will happen in January."
