AC Milan forward M'Baye Niang attracting transfer interest - agent

The agent of AC Milan forward M'Baye Niang has said several offers have been made for the France forward, who was close to joining Leicester City during the winter window.

Niang, 21, is currently sidelined with a fractured ankle suffered in a car accident in February.

He hopes to return before the end of the season and add to the five goals he has scored in 16 Serie A appearances this term.

Agent Moussa N'Diaye told calcionews24.com: "He's working hard to get back into action as soon as possible.

"He's following the plan of recovery and, at the moment, everything is going well.

He has put in some convincing displays and, without naming names, there are many different clubs interested in him.

"But now is not the time to talk about next season for two reasons -- the current one is not over yet, and he is also focused on getting back and scoring goals for Milan."

Leicester dropped their interest in the player after making an initial approach to his club.

And speaking after the possible switch had fallen through, Niang said: "Staying with Milan was the right choice.

"I never thought about leaving. People thought I was already on my way to Leicester to sign, but I only had Milan in my head.

"Milan are the team I wanted to finish the season with."
