'No way' AC Milan will sign Man United's Marouane Fellaini - Galliani

Marouane Fellaini won't be joining AC Milan anytime soon, according to the Serie A club's CEO Adriano Galliani.

Recent reports have suggested that the Italian giants were looking to bring in the Belgium international in on a temporary loan as they chase Champions League qualification for next season.

But Galliani says that AC Milan have an abundance of midfielders and aren't planning on strengthening their squad.

"Fellaini is a player I like, I have always liked him, but there is no way he is joining Milan," Galliani told Mediaset.

"I can only deny that Fellaini is close to Milan. We already have seven players in midfield. If nobody leaves in that area, we will not sign anyone."

Under Louis van Gaal, Fellaini has found his starting opportunities limited. He has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United this season, mostly from the bench.

Galliani said: "We are well stocked in all areas. It is very unlikely we will make any signings unless someone leaves."

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng re-joined the club from Schalke during the current transfer window.
