The 20-year-old, who joined Milan from Caen three years ago, will now be tied to the Rossoneri until June 2019. A statement from AC Milan read: "AC Milan announces that M'Baye Niang has extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2019." Niang, who has had loan spells at Montpellier and Genoa in the past two seasons, is thrilled to have signed a new deal. "I'm with the Rossoneri for another two years" he tweeted in French and in Italian. "I am very happy. "Thanks to Milan for having faith in me, I'm very proud." Niang joined Genoa on loan in January and enjoyed some success, scoring five goals in 14 games. AC Milan also announced that veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has signed a new one-year contract. The 37-year-old's previous deal had expired on Tuesday. A statement from AC Milan read: "Christian Abbiati has signed a contract until June 30, 2016.'' Abbiati, Diego Lopez's understudy, made 10 Serie A starts for AC Milan this season. A former Italy international, Abbiati joined AC Milan in 1998 but had loan spells at Juventus, Torino and Spanish side Atletico Madrid, before returning to the Rossoneri for the 2008-09 campaign. Milan will not play in European competition next season after a disappointing 2014-15 campaign saw the Rossoneri finish 10th in the standings. The club appointed former Sampdoria boss Sinisa Mihajlovic as their new coach last month after dismissing Filippo Inzaghi after just one year in charge.
