Silvio Berlusconi 'delighted' with Filippo Inzaghi's AC Milan approach

Silvio Berlusconi is a very happy man after AC Milan's 3-1 win over Hellas Verona at the weekend, according to the Rossoneri's general manager Adriano Galliani.

Milan have the most prolific attack in Serie A with 16 goals, with Keisuke Honda contributing six of those and topping the league's scoring charts.

Under coach Filippo Inzaghi, they are starting to play the kind of football that Berlusconi prefers, and Galliani told reporters: "The president's delighted with the way we're playing.

"It's fundamental we play like this for him to be happy. He called Pippo [Inzaghi] 10 minutes before kick-off on Sunday. 4-3-3 is a system the president likes.

"It's exciting to score lots of goals, even if it's the side who concedes the fewest who wins the scudetto."

Galliani shares Berlusconi's enthusiasm, particularly when it comes to Honda.

"It may have taken him a few months, but [Michel] Platini also needed a bit of time to acclimatise [at Juventus]," Galliani said. "Apart from the six goals, he's scoring regularly. I don't know if he's worth as much as [Carlos] Tevez to Juve, but I think Honda is benefiting from our style of play."

Meanwhile, Galliani played down the prospect of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira moving to the San Siro.

"He would fit in well, but he earns too much," he said. "If he doesn't alter his wage demands [he won't arrive]..."
