AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez set to undergo tests on thigh injury

AC Milan forward Jeremy Menez could be set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a recurrence of a thigh injury.

Menez, 27, did not train on Wednesday and will undergo further tests in the coming days to assess the extent of the problem.

An official statement from Milan read: "AC Milan announce that Jeremy Menez is suffering from a problem in his right adductor muscle. The player will undergo further tests over the next few days.''

Menez recently recovered from a swollen tendon in his right leg and played all 90 minutes of Saturday's 2-0 triumph over Chievo.

Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi will be keen to have the France international fit in time for his side's Serie A clash at Hellas Verona on Oct. 19.

Menez, who joined the Rossoneri from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, has scored three goals in six league appearances for the Italian club.
